WHAT IS POWER-ONLY?

Hotshot power-only and RV camper trailer service is a specialized transport option where a carrier provides a truck to haul a customer's RV or camper trailer. In this service, the carrier supplies only the truck, while the customer provides the trailer. It's often used for moving RVs or campers over long distances, such as between seasonal locations, to or from dealerships, or for delivery to new owners.

The carrier is responsible for connecting the truck to the trailer and transporting it to the specified destination. Meanwhile, the customer remains responsible for the trailer's condition, including any loading, unloading, and necessary maintenance. This service is popular among RV owners who need to move their vehicles but prefer not to drive them over long distances themselves.

PRE-TRANSPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR POWER-ONLY SERVICE

ADVANCE NOTICE

A minimum of 3 days notice is required before the scheduled transport date. This allows us to plan and allocate resources efficiently.

REGISTRATION & TRAILER PLATES

The trailer must have current registration and valid license plates as required by state laws to ensure legal towing on public roads.

sAFETY CHECK

Ensure the trailer is roadworthy prior to our arrival to prevent delays and ensure smooth transport. This includes checking brakes, lights, tires, securing systems, and weight compliance. We will also conduct a safety check when coupling the trailer.

PROOF OF OWNERSHIP

Provide valid proof of ownership for the trailer, such as a title document, bill of sale, or leasing agreement, to confirm the trailer can be legally transported.

INSURANCE

(NOT REQUIRED)

At Task Force Transport & Logistics, we always recommend that clients maintain their own comprehensive insurance. This ensures that, in the event of a claim, their insurance can respond quickly, with any neccesary subrogation handled afterward. However, since the cargo will be under our care, custody, and control, rest assured that your cargo insurance will extend to cover it.

CLEAR PICKUP & DELIVERY LOCATIONS

Provide detailed pickup and delivery information, including exact addresses, contact details, and any special instructions for loading or unloading.
